1″-8 Spindle Universal Mandrel

1″-8 Spindle Universal Mandrel is for 1″-8 Lathe Spindles only. Precision machined in the USA! Has 3/8-16 self tapping thread. Two flats for 1-1/16″ wrench for easy install/uninstall. Rust protective black oxide coating.  Unlike other mandrels ours run true to within .002″ of an inch. Free storage case included.

Mandrels supplied with a screw on/off plastic washer. We have had a few requests for the washer as it helps prevent the wood getting stuck on the mandrel. The washer should be removed when threading the wood. The use of the washer is optional.

1-1/4″-8 Spindle Universal Mandrel

Our Universal Mandrel for 1-1/4″-8 Lathe Spindle, NO adapters needed! Precision machined in the USA! Has a 3/8-16 self tapping thread. Two flats for 1-5/16″ wrench for easy install/uninstall. Rust protective black oxide coating.  Unlike other mandrels ours run true to within .002″ of an inch. Free storage case included.

Bushings

With the use of the bushings and the Universal Mandrels you can now turn other diameters easily. This bushing allows you to turn to a rough diameter of 3/4″, 13/16" or 15/16" (based on size of each Bushing set). Comes with matching washer.

How to:

  1. Remove the universal plastic washer by unscrewing it
  2. Slide on the bushing of choice
  3. Screw on the matching washer
